- Keep an Ear Out for Any Irregular Sounds- Loud or unusual sounds emitted from your system are usually an indication of something going on. Do not ignore these. If you hear something unusual, take note of it and give us a call as soon as possible.
- Inspect Your Ductwork- Exposed ductwork should be kept free of dust. If there dust is present on top of your home heating system, it can deter it from operating at its utmost capacity. Remember: built-up layers of dust are also a fire hazard.
- Check the Vents and Registers- Always check these. A quick wipe down of the vents and registers will help keep the air passageway free and allow heated air to run through smoothly.
- Change Out the Air Filters- It is recommended to change these out once a month. Keep backup filters in your home so that they can be changed out immediately when needed!
